STATEMENT FROM MISS GLOBAL 2016 ANGELA BONILLA (ECUADOR)
On Sept 24th, 2016 history was made as I became the first woman from Latin America to win the coveted title of Miss Global. Having the chance to meet some incredible women from all over the world represented by so many different backgrounds, languages, ideologies, philosophies, ethnicities and cultures was an enriching experience I will treasure for the rest of my life. To have the honor to represent Ecuador, its culture, traditions and idiosyncrasy has been one of the greatest privileges of my existence. On my journey to the crown I first had to learn about failures and about new opportunities and in order to succeed I had to learn to be strong, and to believe in myself through wisdom and maturity that I have tried and will always try to obtain with each passing day. Miss Global is a pageant that truly empowers women and in order to achieve empowerment one must learn to truly love oneself, to embrace oneself by believing in our capacities, and specially, one must come to terms with the fact that all the good and bad experiences have shaped us into who we are and we should always be able to look at ourselves and know with a great deal of conviction that it is possible to achieve our dreams and goals, no matter what those are. Confidence comes with the responsibility of accepting and loving who we are and what we are and not allowing anything or anyone to take that away from us. Despite the glamour, the spotlights and the attention I have received, this title means hard work and responsibility. If there is one message I would like to convey during my reign is to never give up, to never allow anyone dictate what one can and cannot do because we are all capable to achieve what our heart desires. I plan to be a role model and through my own personal experiences try to inspire others to never let people make decisions for us. More than a beauty queen I would love to be viewed as a human being who can bring a word of wisdom and inspiration especially for young girls who feel left out, discriminated or those who think that their circumstances will prevent them from achieving greatness. I would like to leave a legacy that speaks for itself through my work as Miss Global. I am very grateful to the people in the Philippines for giving me so much love before, during and after the pageant. To the Miss Global organization for allowing me to make my dream come true and to all Ecuadorians all over the world who have supported me and encouraged me throughout this journey. Thank you for allowing me to represent our country internationally and I look forward to an incredible year as Miss global 2016.
STATEMENT FROM MISS GLOBAL 2015 JESSICA PEART (AUSTRALIA)
On October 22, 2015 I was very fortunate to have been crowned the prestigious title of Miss Global.I have met some of the most amazing and selfless people on my Miss Global journey so far. I have gained so much experience and learned many life lessons that will stay with me forever and assist me in my future. I have learned about networking, public speaking, presenting, resilience, organisation, team work, gratitude, humility and self-belief. I have been overwhelmed by people’s kindness and generosity.I have grown so much personally and professionally with the help from my team who have been there to coach, train and guide me through every step of the way. I am feeling so very blessed and grateful. Never in my life would I have imagined that I would have this experience or opportunity.
The Miss Global Pageant was not something I sought out, it found me and changed my life. In life we don’t always set out on the path we started on and my path took a turn, so I embraced every opportunity that came my way and now here I am and it feels like a bit of a dream. Sometimes the people you need in your life find you, you don’t always have to go looking.
I want to do everything in my power to help people all over the world. I want to be a voice for those who feel that they don’t have one. I don’t want to limit myself to one charity or one cause. I would much rather tirelessly spread myself thin and dedicate my time and support to people everywhere. I want to look back on my year as Miss Global and know that I have left my mark and made a difference in people’s lives.
I would like to thank my family, friends, sponsors and management team for being so incredibly supportive in everything I do. Most importantly, my beautiful manager Simone Clements for believing in me, mentoring me and showing me that with hard work, determination and large amounts of passion you can achieve the unachievable. Thank you to the Miss Global Organization for running an incredible program and creating endless opportunities for all contestants worldwide. I will do my utmost to make you all proud. Lastly, I would like to thank my best friend in heaven for inspiring me to stand up for justice and equality.

On December 19th 2014 I had the honor of becoming the second Canadian woman to win the Miss Global pageant. As a first-generation Canadian, I feel blessed and humbled to have won this prestigious title wearing the name of my country. I am also very proud of my Albanian heritage, where I have learned many of the values that have made me the young woman that I am today. My experiences as a Canadian-Albanian woman have made me truly grateful to be apart of an organization that celebrates diversity among women. The Miss Global Organization embraces the uniqueness of each of its competitors and allows each girl to showcase what they are truly passionate about. I know that the women I shared my experience with have inspired me, and the friendships I have made will always hold a special place in my heart.
My previous experiences as Miss Calgary 2012 and a finalist at Miss Universe Canada have allowed me to grow with more compassion and confidence than I could have ever imagined. I feel privileged to have been placed in a role where I have the ability to impact thousands of lives all over the world. Not everyone shares the same walk in life and I know that mine has been a rather fortunate one. I have clean drinking water, a right to an education and I am not limited in opportunity as a result of my gender.
As the newly crowned Miss Global, I want to contribute to worthwhile causes and serve as a leader, creating a brighter future for those in need. I am looking forward to spending my year as an ambassador for international charitable organizations and raising awareness for various causes.

STATEMENT FROM MISS GLOBAL 2013 EMILY KISS (CANADA)
As the very first Miss Global, I am honoured to have been chosen to represent an organization that is both progressive and philanthropic. I am passionate about promoting the Miss Global ideology that allows a more diverse range of women the opportunity to showcase the true beauty and essence of womanhood.
Before I became Miss Global, I had the privilege of meeting a dynamic group of women. During pre-pageant week, each of them represented their countries with pride and intelligence. Spending the week with them in LA was a wonderful experience and I treasure the newfound friendships I have gained that span across the globe.
It is an incredible feeling to know that I am the first of many more Miss Globals to follow. With this knowledge, I feel a strong sense of responsibility to begin an altruistic legacy and set an example for the Miss Globals of the future.
As I begin this exciting new journey, I hope to inspire others to seek out charitable organizations and causes that they feel a special connection with and contribute to them. Whether it is volunteering personal time or making financial contributions, there are unlimited ways one can make a difference and unimaginable ways life can be enriched. I am passionate about becoming an ambassador for the Global Angels Foundation and look forward to my travels promoting the cause.
Thank you to my friends and family for your love and support, Fabricio Loza Alvarado for introducing me to the world of pageants many years ago, Pablita Thomas from UBCanada for choosing me as the Canadian representative for Miss Global, the Miss Global Organization for this amazing opportunity and to God for every day and every blessing in this life.
